The project – an artistic odyssey and an anthem in honor of women – is initially intended by its author to interweave the dimension of creation with its social and humanitarian counterparts.

"In’time Signature" illustrates women’s endeavor to bring under control their fate and destiny. And it is addressed to all women.

They perform a double role in the project as both creators and models.

Juxtaposing abstract and concrete representations, anonymous and personal as well as individual and collective, the work preserves its inclusiveness. That being so, it is destined to be exposed wherever, bearing in mind, in particular, the benefit of any associations and organizations that support women.

 

 

Approach

 

Without age limit, regardless of ethnic origin, social determinants, and physical appearance, “In’time Signature” is designed as a universal, timeless, egalitarian joint work.

The main idea is to allow women to express their attachment to feminine and human values through portrayal thereof. Concretely, each woman that wish to participate is supposed to send the author its own piece of work, namely, pubis imprint on a blank piece of paper. It is suggested that the imprint is made with the lipstick. The external physical appearance of every representation will be transcended displaying the intimate beauty and profound femininity.

Every woman makes a decision about the image she wants to share by creating her own representation of herself that will be a unique expression of her personality and singularity.

Involvement is anonymous – unique but unidentifiable. The outcome of the project will form a vast picture composed of all imprints set by Corrine Costa Erard so that it can build a landscape without boundaries neither in space nor in time. A passionate and vital landscape unifying the world.

 

 

Author

 

Corrine Costa Erard is a visual artist and fully certified art teacher based in Nancy, France. She is an artist emotionally and by origin attached to the region of Lorraine.

At the heart of her pursuits lies relentless interest in the human being and whether his or her cultural, social, and religious aspects. “I feed myself with moments of life, events from individual and collective memories, the ambiguities of human relationships, exclusions, and stigmatizations related to the differences. I go through all of this in drawing, sculpture, architecture, new technologies, photography, video…"

“To make this project come to life, in order to overcome obstacles, restraint, I would like to share with you my enthusiasm, my madness…

Together we can create this poetic and marvelous work. The magical is still present, perhaps, beyond our comfort zone, let’s cross the threshold then.

The challenge is to largely disseminate the idea that was originally conceived as borderless. So pass on around and beyond you and participate! It’s up to you, the ball is in your court!
